When you use Cataliq, we collect the following information:
- Account information — your name, email address, and username, provided during registration
- Conversation data — messages you send and AI responses, tab names, and related metadata
2. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used solely to operate the Cataliq service:
- Sync across devices — your conversations are stored server-side so you can access them from any device
- Conversation retention — your chat history is preserved according to the retention policy below
We explicitly do not:
- Use your data to train AI models
- Share your data with third parties for marketing or advertising
- Sell your data to anyone
3. Data Storage & Retention
How long we keep your data depends on your subscription status:
- Subscribed users — conversation data is stored indefinitely while your subscription is active
- Non-subscribed users — conversations remain active for 3 months after tab closure
You can permanently delete any conversation at any time from your profile page. Deleted data cannot be recovered.
4. Cookies & Sessions
- Session cookie — a single authentication cookie is used to keep you logged in (expires after 1 year of inactivity)
- No tracking cookies — we do not use cookies for analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking
- No third-party cookies — no external scripts set cookies on our domain
Server-side traffic analytics are used for operational monitoring and do not involve client-side tracking or cookies.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or via email. Continued use of Cataliq after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
